About the Role

We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Barton. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern.

Main Responsibilities:

• Attending breakdowns, fault finding and rectification of faults
• Maintaining records on MMS systems of breakdowns / PPM's / inspections
• Carry out daily plant inspections on LEV / dust transfer / compressors
• Weekly checks on Sprinkler systems / spark detection
• Monthly checks on various equipment to ensure compliance
• Carry out PPM inspections and remedial works on production machinery
• Carry out project work as required
• Assist with all other site service requirements as they arise

Who are we looking for?

• Time served and qualified City & Guilds, ONC and HNC - Mechanical Engineering
• A flexible approach and a can-do attitude to whatever job arises

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday - 7.00am to 3.30.pm (5 x 8 Hours)
• Monday to Thursday - 6.00 - 4.30pm (4 x 10 Hours)

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Fully qualified Mechanical Engineer
• Experience in a similar Mechanical function and industrial environment
