Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturing company who are looking for a Principal Design Engineer.
The company design and manufacture large scale engineering products and are at the forefront of their industry with a focus on renewable technology.
Working in a dynamic R&D team this role will be a leading role in the management of a team and the delivery of new product development to support the strategy and overall business objectives to deliver carbon neutral products.
The Principal Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of engineers in the development of products
- Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful integration of project components
- Develop and manage 3D CAD engineering drawings and systems
- Ensuring structural and mechanical engineering calculations are validated
- Co-ordinate and lead design reviews
The Principal Design Engineer will need:
- A mechanical component or system design background and experience
- A relevant engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience of working in a manufacturing technical engineering environment
- Experience of managing and leading others
- A sound knowledge of mechanical principles and calculations
