HRA Recruitment is currently looking for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our client in Dudley who is one of the largest steel stockholders and processors in the UK.

Hours and Pay:

The company are introducing an afternoon shift that will require afternoon cover 1 week a month, from time to time you might be asked to undertake some work at our Sheffield works. The normal working hours are,

Mon – Fri 06:00-14:00, with additional overtime when required, Weekends if required 06:00-12:00

Mon-Thu afternoon shift 12:00-22:00

The Maintenance engineer paygrade is £16ph days and £20ph afternoons.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Position:

• You will be responsible for the day to day tasks associated with equipment maintenance, maintenance engineering, maintenance and repair, preventative maintenance and much more.
• You will need a good working knowledge of 3 phase electrical control systems to include contactor inverter circuits, motors and safety circuits.
• You must be willing to travel to the Sheffield branch as and when needed.

Skills and Qualifications for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Position:

MUST HAVE:

• Experience in equipment maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and maintenance and repair.
• Expertise in maintenance engineering and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
• Sub assembly work.
• MIG/MAG/ARC welding.
• Oxy Fuel.
• Health and Safety (H&S)
• Electrics.
• Experience or in depth knowledge of Machining, Lathe/Milling/Grinding.
• 17/18 Electrical Edition/AM2/AM2S
• Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
