Heating Installation Engineer

Job Summary:

Your role will be as heating installation engineer, working with heat pumps and renewable energy to undertake work, either installing or maintaining domestic heating systems. We work on a variety of systems with various manufacturers to deliver the best solutions for the end user. Often our jobs are fully funded by a grant scheme, but these properties are no different to any other domestic houses and not social housing projects. As a business we are keen to ‘upskill’ engineers to additional products and emerging technologies and sponsor them to complete additional courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the work in a positive, professional way.
  • Manage your time effectively to meet the given deadline.
  • Follow the relevant building and electrical regulations whilst following our health & safety policy.
  • Order additional van stock materials.
  • Participate in an Emergency Call Out Rota (Around every 1 in 8 weeks)
  • Capture evidence of the installation for our reporting processes
  • Raise and communicate relevant job information back to office via an electronic system.
  • Advise customers on care options available for the relevant heating system in their property.

About You:

  • 5 years preferred proven experience post qualifications.
  • NVQ level 2 plumbing (or equivalent experience)
  • WRAS water regulations qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Manufacturers individual knowledge/training
  • Experience with central heating pipework and systems
  • A want to further your knowledge and skillset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Keen eye for attentions to detail
