Job Vacancy -Injection Moulding Setter

Contract – Permanent

Working hours- Working 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.

Salary – Competitive Salary

Location – Denby, Derbyshire.

 

Purpose of Role:

You will be part of the Extrusion team, responsible for the setting up and running of injection moulding machines for production. The injection moulding setter has responsibility for meeting production targets and quality standards and driving minimum scrap % on their line.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
  • Ensure that all required quality checks are carried out as per the company standards
  • Setting up injection moulding machines and running the machinery, including packing where required
  • Adjusting machinery during its operation as required
  • Carry out tool and material change overs as required
  • Complete any applicable production paperwork and sign off sheets
  • Operate machinery safely and effectively, in line with the correct operating procedures
  • Report any machinery issues to management
  • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet customer requirements and team targets
  • Where applicable (depending on department) delegate relevant production tasks to team members such as removing scrap, fetching labels, printing works orders etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
  • Contribute to waste management programs

Key Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience of injection moulding/tool setting is required
  • Previous experience of working in manufacturing / uPVC / extrusion
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially the uPVC industry
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Requires an understanding of the entire production process

Qualifications:

Qualifications in Machining or Engineering.

Experience:

Previous experience of working in manufacturing / uPVC would be beneficial.
