Exciting Opportunity for an Electrical Design and Field Service Engineer.

Our client is in search of a versatile team member to undertake both design and field service responsibilities. They are seeking an individual with strong technical expertise to join their team.

About the Role:

Joining the designs team, your primary responsibility will be providing crucial technical support to Clients, Sales and Production teams, as well as actual panel building if necessary. This includes ensuring the accuracy of design and pricing for a range of items through customer communication. Furthermore, you'll oversee drawing accuracy and record management efficiently. Essentially, the successful candidate will have a recognised electrical qualification or relevant experience and aptitude for design using Auto Cad packages and working to ISO 9001. Ability to travel to site and knowledge of mechanical design engineering, would both be an advantage.

As a field service engineer, your main task will entail occasional site visits for customer support and equipment maintenance, spanning across different systems and products including CMS systems, distribution cabinets and CEL-designed control panels and equipment.

Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Prepare quotes and technical drawings using AutoCAD.

  • Test equipment in the workshop.

  • Review and approve drawings.

  • Support new product designs.

  • Maintain design and test database.

  • Update old drawings and issue new numbers.

  • Assist with problem-solving and on-site visits.

  • Provide technical support

  • Update CAD library

Field Service Engineer (CMS and PQ):

  • Conduct site surveys and prepare reports.

  • Produce risk assessments and method statements.

  • Manage company whiteboard for monitoring quotations.

  • Perform fault finding and repairs.

  • Provide toolbox and system training.

  • Deliver fault finding training.

  • Follow health and safety procedures.

Benefits:

  • Salary DOE range from 35K - 45K

  • Monday to Friday (37 hours)
