Role- HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary- £35,000- £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Type- Permanent
Location- Birmingham
My client works within the building services sector and they are looking to take on a HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Birmingham area.
The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

My client works within the building services sector and they are looking to take on a HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Birmingham area.
The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A hands-on background in Commercial, Construction, HVAC, Piping or similar
- An interest in moving into an office-based Design role
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software would be beneficial
- Confident speaking on the phone and communicating with customers to understand requirements
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have good communication skills both verbal and written
- Be happy working on quotations and liaising with customers
- Designing piping systems
- Designing BMS, Chillers, Cooling Systems
- Being responsible for generating CAD designs for systems
- Providing materials schedules for new and existing customers
- Being involved in growing the sales of systems
- Offering design support
- Working as part of a technical team
- Keeping the CAD library up to date with new products and prices
- Responding to any customer enquiries via phone and email
- Always working to the companies QMS
- Looking at areas to improve products and services offered
