Job Opportunity: Technical Engineer - Surface Treatment

Location: Stroud

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 am - 04:00 pm, Friday early finish 07:30 am - 03:00 pm

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE

Job Overview:

Join our client's team as a Technical Engineer, a pivotal role within Surface Treatments Operation. Your primary responsibility will be to interpret customer requirements with precision, providing clear instructions and guidance to our production teams to ensure impeccable customer satisfaction. Additionally, you'll collaborate across departments, offering hands-on support when necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Timely creation of Surface Treatment Data Cards
• Assisting Commercial and business development teams in understanding customer demands
• Collaborating with the Quality team to ensure Audit Compliance and actively participating in audits
• Managing and delivering specific assigned projects and objectives
• Contributing to a safety-first culture in all actions

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

• Minimum 4 years of direct experience in a technical role within a Surface Treatment Organisation
• Proven ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
• Strong focus on safety
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience working in an Aerospace AS9100 - NADCAP-approved facility
• Formal Training / Membership of a recognised Surface Treatment organisation (e.g., Institute of Materials Finishing)
• Recognised Risk Assessment and/or IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent
