Summary of Role

Reporting to the Quality Director you will support the implementation of Hall & Kay Fire Services business, quality & EHS strategies. You will carry out regular audits to ensure compliance with environmental standards.

What you will be doing

  • Undertake Environmental 14001 Compliance Audits and inspections at company and customer premises.
  • Support Hall & Kay Fire Services continued compliance to all relevant internal processes / procedures, appropriate schemes and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Maintain the businesses accreditation to Environmental Standard ISO14001:2015
  • Support and contribute to the development of an effective audit and inspection programme.
  • Monitor completion and the effectiveness of corrective actions taken.
  • Support and contribute to maintaining, developing and implementing Hall & Kay Fire Services’ standard operating processes and procedures to ensure their continued effectiveness.
  • Liaise with managers / site & department / divisional contacts to discuss findings & assist in implementation of corrective and root cause corrective actions.
  • Liaise with client sites regarding inspections and meetings as required.
  • Support the management in the investigation of environmental non-conformities/non-compliance issues, identifying root causes and development of corrective action plans.
  • Liaise with Third Party Certification Bodies and support Third Party 14001 environmental audits as required.
  • Provide advice / support on the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure continued compliance to accreditation requirements and support in identifying workable solutions in situations where requirements and business needs conflict.
  • Assist with Investigation, resolution and reporting on significant customer complaints, incidents, near misses.
  • Familiarise & comply with all company policies & procedures

What we will need from you

  • Proven record of working with and extensive experience of Management Systems: ISO14001 & 9001:2015 (essential)
  • Environmental qualification e.g. NEBOSH, HND, Degree (highly desirable)
  • Experience of working within the construction industry across a multi-site function (essential) ideally within the Fire Engineering industry (essential).
  • Experienced in managing and conducting internal and third-party environmental audits (essential).
  • Experience of internal audits and inspections completed on time and in accordance with company processes (essential).
  • Expert presenter and communicator with extensive experience of communicating with customers and internal stakeholders (essential).
  • Applies a positive approach to problem solving (essential).
  • Able to work autonomously, on own initiative and operate under minimal supervision (essential).
  • Positively and professional promotes the Company image through behaviours and conduct (essential).
  • Full, clean driving license (essential).
