Job Title: Electronics Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Lymington, United Kingdom

Company: An established electronics client in Lymington is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. This company specialises in Electronics.

Position Overview: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising the production process and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our electronic products. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures.
  2. Design and improve manufacturing layouts to optimise workflow and productivity.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
  4. Strong background and experience in electronics manufacturing processes, including surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, PCB assembly, and testing.
  5. Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting problems as they arise.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing protocols.
  7. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the manufacturing process.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
  9. Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the electronics industry.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  6. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  7. Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
