The Opportunity
Given recent and forecasted growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a dynamic team to provide your support on the Hickley Point C project, ensuring all health & safety requirements (legal and organizational) for the EPR-E office environment are met in a timely manner whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation at all times.

The role
As a Health and Safety Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and manage the safety walks process, including identifying and addressing any required actions promptly.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
  • Review and manage Learning Reports, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure timely completion of actions.
  • Monitor and report accidents/near misses, facilitating necessary actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with the H&S network to ensure an adequate number of first aiders, organize training as needed, and ensure proper first aid provisions.
  • Collaborate with the H&S network to ensure sufficient fire marshals and manage fire safety requirements, including organizing necessary training.
  • Administer and monitor the Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessment process, ensuring necessary adaptations and equipment are provided and following up on actions.
  • Participate in routine H&S meetings and forums, suggesting improvements where necessary, and addressing employee concerns.
  • Report regularly on H&S-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior management, aiming to automate this process whenever feasible.
  • Conduct risk assessments on various H&S-related topics such as first aid, stress management, and general office safety.
  • Contribute to the development of the EPR-E mental health and wellbeing strategy.
  • Stay updated on developments in HSE guidance and legislation, implementing necessary adaptations to EPR-E processes and procedures.
  • Interface with site-based teams to ensure H&S requirements are met in those environments as well.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
  • Knowledge of UK safety legislation and its administration in an office environment
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook required;
  • Power Automate, Forms and PowerBI advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Professional and friendly demeanour – able to build relationships at all levels
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
