This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a forward-thinking Quality Department involving both reactive problem-solving and long-term strategic project work. Reporting to the Quality manager the Quality Team Leader will be influential in engaging the team and wider business in recognising and meeting Customer requirements. Having established effective working relationships, they will lead improvements to surpass Customer expectations, by championing continuous improvement, supporting problem resolution and evolving the QMS (Quality Management System).

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with colleagues to promote team working and to ensure a smooth flow of work.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and build effective working relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and proactively resolve issues
  • Knowledge of practical experience working with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Quality Tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous accountability for quality documents; including the creation, review and approval.
  • Auditing experience
  • Knowledge and experience working with ISO9001/AS 9100

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting team performance and development as required by the Quality Manager
  • Defining, evaluating and driving performance of key quality metrics
  • Redesigning processes in order to achieve sustainable solutions
  • Working with and influencing key stakeholders (internal and external) in developing and redesigning QMS and supporting a transition to integrated BS (Business Management System)
  • Delivering formal and informal training programmes to continually improve the companies Quality performance
  • Supporting the definition and management of internal and external audit programmes to maintain and manage all required certification.
  • Leading the planning and execution of QMS improvements and sustainment activities 
  • Key Deputy in the department, representing the Quality Manager when required
  • Representing the business at meetings with customers or suppliers
  • Leading or otherwise supporting company improvement activities
