Job Description for Westminster based Handyperson:

We are seeking an experienced Handyperson to join our dynamic engineering and repairs team based in Westminster. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs and renewal work across various trades, including ground works, carpentry, plumbing, glazing, and finishing trades such as painting, decorating, plastering, and tiling. The role requires a versatile individual capable of performing a broad range of multi-skilled repair activities to deliver a comprehensive communal repairs service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute repairs and renewal work to the highest standards in trades such as ground works, carpentry, plumbing, glazing, painting, decorating, plastering, and tiling.
  • Undertake multi-skilled repair activities to provide a comprehensive communal repairs service.
  • Perform general building maintenance tasks with or without supervision.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Engage in customer-facing roles, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate the ability to work independently when necessary.


Top Skills Required:

  • General building maintenance experience with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Proven experience and ability to work in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Multi-skilled expertise in various trades including ground works, carpentry, plumbing, glazing, and finishing trades (painting, decorating, plastering, tiling).
