Salary: £35,000 depending on experience 

 
Job Purpose:
As a Technician Machinist at our Lancashire site, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our various test departments by manufacturing components and providing technical assistance. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will utilise your expertise in manual machining to ensure the timely production of high-quality parts while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety standards.

 

Responsibilities:
-        Collaborate with engineering staff to manufacture parts using manual machines such as milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
-        Provide technician support to test departments as required, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
-        Order stock, develop efficiency initiatives, and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the Machine Shop.
-        Perform basic facility maintenance and diagnostics as needed, adhering to company standards at all times.

 

Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
-        Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
-        Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-        Methodical, flexible, and reliable with good problem-solving abilities.
-        Ability to lift up to 25kg and perform physically demanding tasks.
-        Automotive experience and familiarity with CAD and Microsoft Office applications are advantageous.
