Production Manager

Location: West Bromwich Area

Salary: Circa £45k - £50k  

A local Automotive Manufacturing company are now looking for a Production Manager to join their team.

Production Manager – Overview:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that production targets and objectives are achieved by leading and driving performance through local leadership in all areas by using all resources in the most efficient way.

To spearhead and drive the highest levels of HSE.

To achieve target output for each product type.

To lead Production continuous improvement plans.

To motivate and maintain a stable workforce.

Production Manager – Role & Responsibilities:

Planning and Production       Ensuring targets are delivered and all areas have measurements and KPIs in place.

Area Leaders                           Supporting and coaching leaders ensuring they are working efficiently

Workforce                              Looking after recruitment and ensuring all people related matters are dealt with appropriately

Maintenance                          Ensuring maintenance requirements are carried out.

Quality                                    Responsibility for the general quality of all product through the production processes.

Health & Safety                      Ensure that the health and safety requirements for local areas are observed. Ensure that daily checks are in place where applicable.

Housekeeping                        Ensure that all production areas are kept tidy.  Keeping all machinery clean and to the required standard.

Production Manager – Person Requirements:

The ideal candidate will come from the manufacturing industry as a Production Manager.  You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Be able to communicate at all levels within the organisation
  • Ability to manage their time effectively and prioritise work.
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team.
  • A capable problem solver and be able to offer innovative solutions to problems.
  • Ability to draw up action plan(s).
  • Ability to analyze procedures and identify improvements.
  • Be a role model to Area Leaders and shop floor employees.
