Electrical Maintenance Technician

£35,000 - £36,000/annum

The company are a successful steel processor who are enjoying significant growth and investment. They are seeking to recruit an electrical biased maintenance engineer to further strengthen their team.

You will part of a friendly team and report to the engineering manager and be responsible for the following;

  • To carry out electrical repairs to the plant machinery such as de-coilers, presses, slitters when breakdowns arise
  • Undertake preventative maintenance on machinery to reduce breakdowns and a reduction in production output
  • Completion of machine installations 
  • Any electrical work required to lighting and any electrical facilities maintenance work on the site
  • Completion of work reports and completion of maintenance log book

As an electrical maintenance engineer you will need to hold the following skills and experience.

  • Experienced working in an electrical maintenance role in a heavy production environment
  • Previous experience of working on slitters, presses, de-coiling machines would be advantageous
  • A good electrical aptitude
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics working knowledge
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering (such as NVQ or City & Guilds)
  • Willing to work a 3 shift rotation shift and be flexible with working hours

Salary circa £36,000 per annum

The client is based in Dudley so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Kidderminster, Halesowen.
