Our client, a leading defence and security company, is seeking a Principal Engineer - Structural Engineering (Hull & Outfit) to join their team in Barrow. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months, offering a competitive rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake structural design activities related to Hull & Outfit elements
- Conduct analysis and assessment of structural components
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design solutions meet project requirements
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases
- Contribute to the development of design processes and standards
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in structural design/engineering
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and analysis techniques
- Understanding of Hull & Outfit design principles
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Security Level: SC
- Hybrid working arrangements: 1-2 days in the office per month
