Our client is a leading facilities management company, is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on reactive maintenance and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to electrical maintenance requests and breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime and ensure continuity of operations.

2. Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Perform scheduled PPM tasks on electrical systems and equipment, including inspections, testing, and servicing, to maintain optimal performance and compliance with regulations.

3. Electrical Repairs: Carry out repairs, replacements, and adjustments on electrical components, such as circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures, to address issues and prevent failures.

4. Fault Finding: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify electrical faults and failures, troubleshooting complex problems and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues efficiently.

5. Testing and Inspection: Conduct electrical testing, inspections, and certification activities, including PAT testing, EICR inspections, and emergency lighting tests, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and test results, and provide detailed reports to supervisors and clients as required.

7. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times, ensuring that work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

8. Client Communication: Liaise with clients, building occupants, and site managers to coordinate maintenance activities, provide updates on work progress, and address any concerns or queries in a professional and responsive manner.

   Requirements:

   • Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in electrical maintenance and repairs.

   • Relevant electrical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, and Electrical Installation Work certifications.

   • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.

   • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

   • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
