Purpose of the Role:
As a Supervisor - Highways Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of surfacing projects on behalf of our client to their various stakeholders. Your responsibilities will encompass effective management of on-site teams, adherence to safety standards, and attainment of project objectives.
  
Key Accountabilities:
  • Efficient planning, programming, and execution of works
  • Achievement of company and contractual KPIs
  • Diligent management of change controls
  • Ensuring zero accidents and environmental incidents
  • Facilitating career progression and competency within the site teams
  • Promoting health, safety, and wellbeing practices
  • Compliance with CDM regulations and environmental processes
  • Delivering Health & Safety briefings to teams
  
Competency Requirements:
  • Experience in the surfacing industry with a strong grasp of on-site Health and Safety protocols
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, providing effective leadership
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and Word
  • Certification in Site Safety Management, CSCS card, and SMSTS certificate
  • Flexibility regarding location and shift patterns
  
Technical / Professional Expertise and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in supervisory roles within surfacing maintenance and construction
  • Valid UK full manual car driving license with no more than 6 points
