Maintenance Engineer

• Job Title:  Maintenance Engineer
• Location: Halesowen
• Salary: Up to £35,000
• Shift: Days Mon - Thurs
• Industry: Heavy Environment

We are working with an industrial engineering company based in Halesowen.  They are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a Days Shift.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Monitor and analyse the technical aspects of the production installations
• Optimize efficiency of production installations. 
• Support implementation of technical improvements
• Enhance, capture and systematically document and disseminate expertise related knowledge. 
• Ensure that the organisation minimizes potential loss of expertise and efficiently benefits from its availability.
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders (on-site engineers, production, maintenance,) 
• Ensure first line assistance in relation to their area of expertise
• Support Maintenance Downtime (Machine Trouble) in respect with the targets and ensure reactive maintenance takes place to avoid downtime in the future
• Advising Technicians on best practice
• Ensure that all the rules for Health & Safety and Environmental issues are well respected in the plant with regards to Facilities and Maintenance activities
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are respected
• Ensure 5S is completed to required company standard

Experience required:

• Relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship etc)
• Junior applicants welcome
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Be conversant and have an understanding of PLC controls.  

This position is commutable from; Birmingham, Worcestershire, Redditch, Worcester, Droitwich, Bromsgrove
