Summary:

A multinational utility scale Solar & co-located BESS developer, owner and operator are looking for a Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to work on some exciting renewable energy projects.

You will oversee the technical evaluation of designs, drive optimisation initiatives, and contribute to the growth of the companies solar and storage portfolio. This role can be based in London, Dublin or Cork.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with local Project Engineers and Project Managers in project delivery.
• Support Construction, Pre-Construction, and Development teams with crucial engineering information.
• Set minimum functional specifications for projects and update standards regularly.
• Evaluate new technologies, positioning yourself as a go-to expert in Civil/Structural engineering.
• Lead the team in developing best practices for civil and structural engineering processes.
• Assist Project Engineers and Construction/Development teams with Civil/Structural engineering issues.
• Provide design inputs for conceptual studies and technical assessments.
• Manage stakeholders through all project stages
• Prepare Employer’s Requirements for Civil/Structural works in solar PV and BESS projects.
• Evaluate calculations and design of PV plants, including substation design and foundation designs.
• Review site investigation studies and participate in project meetings.

Your Profile:

• BEng qualification in Civil/Structural engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Civil works design and Structural Design.
• Experience in PV solar farm and BESS projects is an advantage.
