Shift Maintenance Engineer – Openshaw
Skilltech Resourcing are currently seeking a shift maintenance engineer with strong mechanical background, experience within heavy engineering/ manufacturing essential.
The role will involve carrying out repairs on plant and equipment within a heavy steel fabrication environment.
Duties include but not limited to:-
- Provide mechanical support to the maintenance department (some electrical exposure an advantage).
- Reactive and preventative maintenance of production related equipment and building when required.
- Work closely with production to prioritise maintenance/repairs ensuring minimum downtime.
- Manage parts inventory at an optimum level.
Qualifications/experience
- HNC or equivalent in engineering.
- Experience of a heavy engineering/ manufacturing including – CNC machinery, Hydraulics presses, Heat treatment plant etc.
- Previous shift working experience.
- Basic electrical skills.
This is a permanent position working a weekly rotating 2 shift pattern Monday to Thursday (days & nights) with overtime as required. Candidates must be prepared to cover occasional other shifts for holidays/ absenteeism.
Salary £40,129 (inc shift allowance).
Holidays 25 per year plus bank holidays
Monthly bonus scheme (averaging 8-10%)

Death in service x 2 salary
