The Company
A well-established manufacturer that is looking for a Junior Toolmaker to join the team.

The Role
The manufacture in part or total a plastic injection mould tool from a general assembly.

To maintain and repair existing production mould tooling to a high standard.

Record and monitor tool repairs to help identify reoccurring problems for tool

To examine and modification detailed drawings or specifications to determine a BOM for

To make small press tools where practical.

To provide technical support to help resolve day-to-day tooling issues, working closely with the technical department and production.

To carry out periodical (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly) preventive maintenance.

Maintain the highest standards of safe working at all times, with regard to own safety and that of colleagues working in close proximity.

To ensure that any issues requiring attention, which are beyond own remit, are quickly raised and dealt with.

Follow health & safety policy and standards, including the correct wearing of the appropriate PPE.

The Candidate
A mechanical bias engineering qualification

Able to read engineering drawings

Good oral and written communication skills.

Should have good attention to detail and accuracy.

Must be able to work to high precision

Salary
The salary offered for this position is £20,000- £30,000 plus a bonus depending on whether a candidate can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
