Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a leading engineering and maintenance provider, for a Quality Assurance Engineer based just south of Reading. This company are involved in various industries from food and beverage, Pharma, Nuclear, Chemical and Oil and Gas.

The position of Quality Assurance/ QA Engineer will be on a 6 Month contract basis and due to the nature of the project, the successful candidates will need to undergo a security clearance.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting internal audits, in accordance with the published project audit programme, and produce reports in relation to audit outcomes.

Responsible for the provision of Quality related advice and guidance to the Project

Responsible for liaising with Project Quality Control inspectors, providing assurance that all Hold Points/ Witness Points are met in a compliant manner.

Responsible for validating the implementation and effectiveness of Project corrective actions resulting from internal/ external audits.

To promote a safety-first culture, conducting walk rounds and intervening constructively to highlight or challenge unsafe or perceived unsafe actions.

Prepare Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) as appropriate and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and supporting QA documentation

Liaise with all relevant Project stakeholders in relation to the preparation and submission of Project quality requirements and supporting documentation

Experience & Qualifications

Current knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems in nuclear or civil construction.

Experience using problem resolution tools and techniques with the ability to articulate their use in a given situation.

Development of project QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs etc) and review of supplier QA documentation with experience in internal audits of management systems, commuting the outcomes

The ability to understand and interpret ISO Management System Standards, technical drawings and specifications is desirable.

Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential

Good communication and report writing skills

+3 years' experience working in a highly regulated industry (Nuclear/Oil & Gas/Aviation, Construction)

Recognised and current Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001:2015) (Essential)

Desirable Qualifications

Minimum ONC/HNC in an Engineering discipline (Desirable)

Associate or Practitioner of the Chartered Quality Institute or can demonstrate working towards it (Desirable)

Current security clearance (SC) (Desirable)

Current CSCS Card (Desirable)

Applicants will have had to of held a British passport for the past 5 years in need to pass the desired Security Clearance.
