We are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our client’s growing Quality team in Doncaster. 

Supplier Quality Engineer
Negotiable Day Rate 
Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm
Temporary - 6 months

Our client is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their growing Quality team. Reporting to the Head of Quality, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the Quality to evolve and grow.

You will be an experience Quality Engineer with the desire to drive strategic improvements within the supply chain by implementing robust procedures regarding compliance and reduce impact to operations.

What will the Supplier Quality Engineer be doing?

• Monitoring and overseeing supplier quality metrics and KPIs
• Responsible for the Quality processes for supplier section
• Responsible for ongoing supplier monitoring and evaluation
• Development of a site business report for supplier performance
• Coordinate and ensure containment for Quality issues arising from the portfolio of suppliers
• Monitoring and updating Goods Inwards Inspection requirements
• Develop and complete the supplier audit schedule
• Influence and Engage key Stakeholders to resolve complex supplier related issues and improvement opportunities.
• Lead targeted improvement projects with identified key suppliers to improve Quality performance and deliver cost savings.
• Support the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to all applicable requirements (e.g. ISO9001 and Regulatory requirements) including conducting internal audits.
• Overseeing team of 1 Quality Inspector (potential to be overseeing a team of 8 in the future)
  
  

What are we looking for in the Supplier Quality Engineer?

Essential

• Experience and understanding of ISO9001 requirements
• Experience of nonconformity management and problem-solving methodologies such as RCA and 8D
• Excellent IT skills – report writing, advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly excel)
• Full UK driving licence
• Effective communicator maintaining relationships whilst driving improvements
• An eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining quality data

Desirable

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification
• LSS Continuous improvement training
• Excellent IT skills – wider Microsoft package (SharePoint, Power BI)
