General Manager or Operations Manager (Pumps) in Bristol

Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager or Operations Manager. This position is required to oversee production on site within a growing facility. Full training and development in company and manufacturing systems with excellent starting salary.
 

The Role:

  • Responsible for the sites overall operational functions of: Administration, Service Centre, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, Sales and HSQE.
  • Ensuring that Avonmouth provides an excellent standard of customer service.
  • Ensure that lean thinking and 5S protocols are managed within the Avonmouth business.
  • Ensure that procedures are documented, adhered to, and maintained at all times to uphold high standards and safeguard against failure of audits in line with our ISO accreditations.
  • Responsible for the quality of goods produced in line with Quality Management.
  • Ensure inventory is stored appropriately and accurately; and manage both depreciated and obsolete stock.
  • Ensure that periodic cycle counting takes pace and is recorded.
  • Ensure that vehicles, lifting gear, racking and other equipment are safe, fit for purpose, maintained etc. and that all staff using this equipment have the appropriate certification.
  • Be responsible for the removal of waste ensuring this is documented and legal.
  • Complete yearly appraisals, deal with discipline and employee wellbeing in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure that our company values and employee charter are adhered to at all times.
  • Developing and implementing growth strategies.
  • Mentor and coach managers to excel within their roles.
  • Creating and managing budgets.
  • Improving revenue.


The Candidate: -

  • Operations Manager or General Management background
  • Worked within the Pumps or water industry
  • Had overall responsibility for multiple departments including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing
  • A time served qualification and experience in Electromechanical engineering (ideal not essential)
  • Commercially astute with recognized knowledge around T&C’s.
  • Experience of delivering a high level of customer service in an engineering / service provider company
  • P&L experience
  • Lean principles and 5S training
