Maintenance Technician
Newport
£16 per hour
Monday to Friday - 8am to 4.30pm, Friday - 7am to 12pm
Acorn by Synergie is working with a manufacturer of pest control products seeking a Maintenance Technician following recent growth within the business. The first two months of the post will be based in the Treforest site for training purposes.
Job Duties:
* To provide & oversee maintenance / repair of the sites processes, services & equipment in alignment with production & management needs
* To support the production team in the changing over and set up of all machinery
* Support the production team in the application of TPM & PPM activities
* Ensure all paperwork completed in line with the maintenance process / system is accurate & legible
* Positively support & drive continuous improvement culture through the production areas
* Support Risk Assessments & all H&S improvement activities
Key Requirements:
* Time served practical experience in a manufacturing environment packaging / FMCG / automotive
* Supervisory experience in a 'lean culture' manufacturing environment
* Experience in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement techniques & tools 5s, Kaisen etc
