What Are We Looking For?

Through the success win of the high coveted PTSN framework for Thames Water, RSE is delighted to be offering a developing role as a Trainee Telemetry Surveyor to join our London businesses as part of our delivery teams. You’ll be working alongside experienced Engineers who will develop your skills as a Surveyor to aid in the review of high volume projects across the Thames Valley, whilst gaining valuable experience with a market leader in the Water sector.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Accurately documenting results of Telemetry system tests at all stages of project life-cycle including full signal end to end testing process.
  • Carry out surveys to sites, producing and issuing reports in a concise and consistent manner following established procedures and documentation formats.
  • Assists with end to end testing in line with clients specifications and procedures.
  • Assist the project manager with programming and updating schedules.
  • Responsible for updating client asset inventories.
  • Partner with different disciplines to deliver telemetry projects in accordance with guidelines.
  • Generate documentation associated with each of the systems as required.
  • Trouble shooting of telemetry software code for startup and commissioning activities.

What Do You Need?

  • Have a qualification in Engineering, with particular emphasis in electrical, electronic or automation.
  • Have experience of control and electrical systems associated with telemetry systems.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to commute across sites in the Thames Valley.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to interact with the Client and colleagues regarding technical requirements.
  • Working knowledge and an understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
