Product Manager- Lasers/Optics
This unique role will combine a commercial and technical focus, working on developing the future product range of an international laser company. You will get the chance to shape the product strategy identifying new markets and application areas.
Working in parallel with the sales and marketing function in Germany you will be based out of a design and manufacturing facility in the UK working closely with engineers and scientists.
A big part of the role will be identifying new product ideas by understanding customer trends and then being able to translate these into commercial products.
You will be based in Southampton and will need to occasionally travel to Germany and other customer sites internationally once a quarter.
Although the company has a big global presence you will get to see ideas move quickly and will work closely with the MD on a number of new technology areas from concept to launch.
For this role we are looking for:
A degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.
A good understanding of working with lasers or optics related products.
A strong commercial background with experience of working with technical customers.
