We are recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing company based in Middlesbrough. This is a full time and permanent role.

This role offers a days only shift pattern, Monday to Friday, No Weekends!!!

The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm. Overtime may be on offer as and when.

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role involves:

  • Mechanical and Electrical maintenance on a wide variety of machinery including CNC machines, automatic saws and edge polishers.
  • You will also be working on water re-cycling plant, lifting equipment, single and 3 phase electrical motors, ultra-low voltage drive systems, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Breakdown response to reduce machine downtime as much as possible
  • Increase efficiency through thorough execution of PPM planned maintenances schedules
  • Help maintain quality of engineering stores via correct usage and communications, accurately record usage of common parts/spares from stores to minimise the risk of stock outage.
  • Manufacture spare parts as required (Simple Bracketry Gaskets etc.) using hand tools, various machines, welding equipment,.
  • Assist with implementation of engineering projects/cost effective repairs
  • Complete appreciation/respect of overall health and safety at work

We're looking for the following;

  • Previous electrical maintenance experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment (preferably 3yrs or more)
  • Previous mechanical maintenance experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment (preferably 3yrs or more)
  • Previous experience working on CNC machines, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Robotics (Desired but not essential), Control systems including PLC`s
  • PLC Programming experience. (desirable) and PLC fault finding skills.
  • Time served apprenticeship/Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in maintenance engineering
  • 18th edition electrical qualifications would be preferable but not essential.
  • Good Fault finding and root cause analysis skills
  • Previous experience with PPM and TPM systems
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy
