Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Overview

This mechanical design engineer role is to be part of a building services design team delivering innovative and creative solutions.  They have a broad spectrum of projects from retail and commercial, through to cutting edge technical and sporting environments and residential.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a design team delivering detailed designs on a wide variety of projects
  • Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures
  • Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
  • Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
  • Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint
  • Working on a variety of projects both in the UK and Overseas.

Experience and Skills Required

  • You will be a mechanical design engineer with at least 4 to 5 years in building services.
  • Ideally you will have a degree in a relevant subject or accredited building services degree.
  • Experience of software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD, REVIT would be beneficial.
