Who we are looking for

People who have a manufacturing/mechanical engineering background, and some knowledge of welding processes. The role can at times be quite physical so applicants should be physically fit.

7.30-4.30 Mon-Thurs and
7-3 Friday
Salary: £35,000 p.a.

The role will involve:

• Performing independent visual, dimensional, inspection of component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished product assemblies
• NDT inspection of fabricated/welded assemblies
• Sample inspection of Goods in
• Paint inspections
• Instigation of non-conforming issues (customer and supplier) including investigation to identify root cause, liaising with all departments, providing corrective and preventive actions, following the established in-house Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process
• Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing and maintaining records
• Conducting supplier visits and or meetings to follow up on identified quality  / non-conformance issues
• Establish best practice and develop new inspection techniques as required
• Ensuring that the company quality procedures are followed and reviewed accordingly with the quality manager / representative.
