Our client, an established and successful Water Hygiene Business, going through an extended period of growth, is looking to recruit additional Trainee Technicians to work in the field.  

Whilst full training is provided, successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the ability to learn new skills, have a positive attitude towards technical and manual duties, MUST have a UK driving license and be able to work away from home including overnight stays.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Following training, the competence of our water hygiene specialist is of paramount importance and should be matched to the complexity of the system and the risk being serviced. In each case, they should be able to demonstrate that they have sufficient experience, specialist knowledge and understanding of:

  • the factors affecting the colonization by and growth of Legionella.
  • the evaluation and assessment of risk from Legionella and the controls in place.
  • the procedures necessary to complete surveys, measurements, and sampling.
  • the corrective actions that can be applied to reduce or eliminate the risk.
  • the relevant control measures that can be applied, e.g., water treatment, inspections, monitoring, etc.; and
  • the type of water system(s) and associated equipment to be assessed.

Job Requirements

  • Nationwide travel and hotel stay overs, between 2 and 4 nights per week
  • Full and Clear driving license
  • Enhanced DBS check - clear
  • NHS proof of Double Covid Vaccination

Salary & Benefits 

  • £24,000 to £25,000 depending on experience
