Advanced Recruit are recruitng on behalf of a leading supplier of high-quality stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries for a skilled and experienced draughtsperson.

As a crucial part of our ongoing success, the Draughtsperson will report directly to the Design Manager. This role involves close collaboration with the Design, Sales and Production teams to contribute to the development of both existing and new business. The produced engineering drawings will play a pivotal role in guiding production from inception to installation, demanding adherence to high-quality, measurable standards within specified timelines. Key responsibilities also include:

Main duties will include:

  • Produce engineering drawings in accordance with customer requirements, emphasising standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Interpret technical requests into precise drawings for manufacturing output.
  • Manage workload efficiently, ensuring alignment with approval and manufacturing schedules agreed with Customers and Production.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team and production staff to troubleshoot and contribute to new developments.
  • Assist with any other duties as required by the business in line with your skill set and experience.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong draughting knowledge, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Qualification in mechanical engineering is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, design, and material handling systems.
  • Willingness to explore innovative problem-solving solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to meeting reasonable time scales for assigned tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-driven mindset, and the ability to multitask.
