We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Highways Site Engineer to join a local authority team in North Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing operational management and site engineering expertise for a range of highway-related projects. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations of highways and construction works, directing both operatives and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise and project manage schemes from implementation to handover, ensuring quality, budget control, safety, and compliance.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Hold relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Significant experience in highway/construction-related activities as a site engineer.
- Knowledge and understanding of NEC contracts.
- Experience in planning MSP and dealing with SCPs.
- Ability to manage and maintain accurate site records.
- Experience in measuring and claiming.
- Prepare HSEQ files.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
