Our client is actively seeking experienced System Safety Assurance professionals with a robust background in UK defence. Role Overview:
As a System Safety Assurance – Senior Consultant, the successful candidate will engage in day-to-day activities working closely with clients, providing specialized consultancy services, and supporting business development initiatives. The role involves a flexible approach, allowing the individual to work from our client's offices, client sites, and remotely. Occasional travel may be required to best meet the needs of both staff and clients. Pre-employment screening and clearance for UK National Security Vetting are mandatory for prospective candidates.

Salary: £60k – £70k per annum, depending on experience
Position Type: Permanent: Full-time or Part-time
Location: Office (Bristol/Manchester) / Client Sites / Home Working

Core Responsibilities:

Delivers Safety Assurance and Independent Safety Audit/Advice services.
Provides technical leadership on projects, tenders, and quotations.
Takes proactive measures to ensure customer satisfaction and secure repeat business.
Supports recruitment, training, and mentoring initiatives.
Engages in business-winning activities, account management, and fosters growth.
Supports the achievement of business objectives.
Explores opportunities for alliances and partnerships to exploit new prospects.
Required Experience:

The successful candidate should have significant experience in the management and delivery of System Safety Assurance, including the development of Safety Management Plans, Safety Case Reports, Hazard Logs, and Legislative Compliance Assessments.
Preferably, experience with eCassandra, Reliability Workbench, and ASCE tools, along with a track record in delivering Independent Safety Audit/Advice services.
Experience within one or more of the following defence domains: Air; Land; Sea; Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives; Nuclear.
Previous consultancy and business-winning experience is desirable.

Ability to apply core experience and skills to new domains, quickly understanding new domain regulations and requirements.
