We are a dynamic, design, development and manufacturing organisation with a leading edge, hi-tech product.  We are at an exciting stage of our growth and as such need a talented Manufacturing Manager to deliver exceptional leadership and ensure our targets are met.

We are in an enviable position where we are scaling up production and increasing output and need an experienced Manufacturing Manager with proven experience of leading highly skilled operations trams in a fast-paced, prototype, manufacturing scale up environment to join the team.

As Manufacturing Manager, this is a non-shift, days only role (Mon-Friday) but you will manage two shift teams with key accountability for leading a highly skilled team of technicians through your Team Leaders to optimise production efficiency and ensure the highest levels of quality.

The Manufacturing Manager’s role is a key role in the business and will be responsible for:

• Overall accountability for the managing the daily operations and line management, leading a team of skilled Technicians to meet KPI’s.
• Work closely with the Industrialisation / Manufacturing Engineering team to improve processes and feedback on possible improvements for high-volume implementation.
• Manage engineering change and traceability.
• Ensure that you are driving improvements to enable increased output and quality.
• Taking a key role in the management of the operations / production team including ensuring material demand / availability for production is met.
• Drive lean and continuous improvement activities and champion lean initiatives such as 5S.
• Managing staffing levels to support an ever-changing workload and business demands
• Help define new processes to improve the overall operational efficiency of lines in production.

The ideal candidate will be:

• An experienced Manufacturing Manager / Production Manager / Industrialisation Manager
• Experience leading medium – large production teams
• Electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing experience.
• Fast paced manufacturing experience in e.g. prototype development, EV, Tier 1 or related
• Proven Industrialisation, prototype build / manufacturing scale up exposure
• Ideally degree qualified in an Engineering/Manufacturing related discipline or with relevant industry experience.
• The ability to embrace change and handle multiple priorities.
