DESIGN AND BUILD ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR - TELFORD

We now have an opportunity for an experienced forward-thinking Design and Build (Electrical) Estimator to join our Midlands Projects team, based at our Head Office in Telford.

Job Description

The role will involve completing electrical tenders from start to completion and presenting them for review by the Directors before final submission to their clients.

The successful Electrical Estimator will require good electrical design knowledge and experience estimating both pre-design and design and build projects.

 Key Responsibilities

Query Tender documents and gain clarity by the most appropriate method including using Requests for Further information and Technical Queries

Technical/commercial appraisals of supplier and subcontractor quotations

Analyse drawings, specifications, proposals, etc to prepare time, product, cost, and labour estimates

Raise queries for all materials and liaise with specialist sub-contractors to ensure compliance

Prepare offer letters detailing tender qualifications and particulars

Identify risks and offer solutions

Required Skills & Experience

Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator

Ability to prioritize workloads

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Industry-standard qualifications

Experience in both pre-design and design and build projects

Experience working on electrical tenders £2M plus

Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and a ‘can do’ attitude are all essential.
