Linear Recruitment are working with a National New Build Housing developer that are looking for an experienced Engineer in the Northeast.

The Role:

My client is looking for an experienced engineer to work in the Technical department. The role entails being an important part of the technical team, overseeing external design and engineering consultants involved in the project management and administration of all technical and design matters for various residential projects.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Assist in the production of layouts/ technical reports for Land Appraisals and required working drawings.
  • Site Investigations, topographical survey and further assessment reports on obtained land.
  • Brief engineering consultants on scope of design, including road sewers, private drainage, retaining walls, foundation designs any below DPC level either private or adopted.
  • Liaising with local Councils and Utility Companies
  • Compiling & submitting required adoption documentation
  • Liaising & managing sub-contractors to complete works
  • Solving civil engineering problems and delivery of key works under deadlines

What we need from you:

  • Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a civil engineering or building-related discipline with some residential project experience.
  • Conversant with current building regulations and CDM you will also have a thorough knowledge of current EA/Water Authority/Highway regulations and adoption agreements
  • Must have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and be able to communicate effectively with both internal departments and external bodies.
