Lathe Area Production Engineer

Hours: Various Day & Night shift patterns available
Join a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for maintaining 16 Multispindle Lathe Machines and associated equipment operating 24/7!
Key duties include:
- Utilising a range of tool room/workshop-based machinery.
- Proficient in Lathe Machines, preferably Multispindle, with 5-10 years of experience in a production environment, ideally on a 24/7 or shift basis.
- Demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose machine wear and component quality faults.
- Being disciplined, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Providing support to the Lathe Area Department beyond regular working hours when necessary.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and excellent communication skills to interact with personnel at all levels.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Lathe Area Department.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Supporting Lathe Machine production to ensure continuous output.
- Training new and existing staff.
- Diagnosing and repairing Lathe Machines and associated equipment.
- Using maintenance software for task management.
- Providing assistance to colleagues and service engineers as needed.
- Fulfilling any additional requirements associated with the Lathe Area Department.
