Our client is a vital part of the community, responsible for maintaining and repairing electricity infrastructure that serves thousands of homes, businesses, and public services. To ensure the seamless operation of this essential network, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Cable Jointers.

**The Role:**

As a Cable Jointer, you will collaborate closely with overhead line teams, engaging in a diverse range of challenging projects related to cable jointing. From cable termination connections to overhead lines to tailing and terminating 11kV ring main units, you will experience a variety of tasks that will keep you engaged and stimulated.

**Responsibilities:**

- Joint and terminate UG electrical cables up to 11kV according to construction standards and stringent quality requirements.

- Lead by example by adhering to safe working practices and executing tasks as directed.

- Participate in the risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and adapt as the project progresses.

- Operate in strict compliance with Company and statutory safety regulations at all times.

- Ensure efficient execution of work in accordance with Company procedures and client/Company distribution safety rules.

- Promptly report any safety concerns, unsafe conditions, or acts to your line manager.

- Provide mentorship to other jointers and jointers mates, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

**Who We Are Looking For:**


 

- Individuals with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a cable jointer.

- Team players who are enthusiastic and committed to contributing to our goal of achieving excellence in our industry.

- Candidates with current or expired DNO authorizations (Work on Dead Networks, Live LV Jointing, Recipient of Safety Documents such as Permit to Work & Sanction for Test).

- Holders of a full driving licence.

- NRSWA Operatives.

- Proficient in the use of tablet devices.

- Possess a risk-averse attitude towards safety.

**Desirable Qualifications:**

- IOSH Working Safely qualification.

- Driving licence with C1+E category.

- City & Guilds 2339 (formerly 2322).
