As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work across a wide variety of projects, including those addressing plant and equipment repair and refurbishment, process improvement, and new equipment, across a broad range of industrial plant, machinery and wind tunnel test equipment, including: Rotating machines and associated drives ranging from a few kilowatts to 17MW. Pneumatic systems including air compressors (ranging from 7 to 250 bar), circuits and actuators.

To give you an idea of how this Mechanical Engineer role will look and feel, these are some things you can expect to do:

• Understand the design intent of existing plant, machinery and wind tunnel test equipment, and their operating regimes and maintenance requirements
• Design and implement new mechanical engineering elements, ensuring the company processes the documentation and engineering justifications appropriately
• Review telemetry and data gathered from operational equipment to understand performance
• Take engineering ownership of entire projects, such as refurbishing significant plant assets.

To apply for this Mechanical Engineer role, you will need a degree (Bachelor's or Master's) qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject. You will also require 5 - 10 years of industrial experience post-degree in a similar role. In addition, you should be highly numerate and confident with analytical methods and understand industrial machinery such as hydraulic power units, air compressors, and other rotating machines.

You must also meet UK Security Clearance criteria including the last 5 years continuous residency in the UK
