As a Design & Production Engineer you will join a manufacturer that is globally acknowledged to be a leader in the fusion industry, delivering life changing technologies for both nuclear medicine and industrial application. In your role as Design & Production Engineer you will be responsible for the entire manufacturing process of complex technical products for research and industry markets. Your Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and test experimental fusion industry products.
  • Study, refine, and optimise existing designs to enhance performance.
  • Develop suitable assembly procedures and design jigs and assembly tools.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (scientist and engineers) to overcome challenges related to fusion and radiation technologies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with critical component and process suppliers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the production process.
  • Produce technical reports and present findings to various internal and external stakeholders.
Your Skills:
  • Previous hands-on experience designing, assembling, and testing complex scientific or industrial equipment with a focus on high vacuum and high voltage systems.
  • Relevant experience in scientific instrumentation, nuclear, defense, aerospace, or space industries.
  • Knowledgeable on high-voltage and radiation protocols.
  • Competent user of automation and control programs and graphical user interfaces such as Labview
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Solid Edge)
