Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading company within environmental services to recruit a Plant Operator for its Dudley EFW site.

The strategically important Plant Operator role comes with a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 with Pension

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Shift Team Lead you will:

• Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the Energy from Waste plant, monitoring the turbine, boiler, and associated plant.
• Assisting with compliance with all aspects of the site Environmental Permits
• Carrying out routine plant inspections and adjusting as required and logging on a data system.
• Monitoring of stocks and take receipt of consumables/collection of residues.
• Assisting other Company staff and contractors as and when required
• To be aware of and work within the Company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Systems

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Operational experience within a shift process environment, preferably power generation.
• Knowledge of environmental permits and safe working environments
• Exposure to working in demanding and face paced environment.
