Electrical Interface Design Engineer

My client are recruiting for an Interface Design Engineer to join their team in Wakefield within the Engineering department. A specialist service provider for the Power Transmission and Generation sector, they supply specialist services for both design and drawing management nationally for majority of the UK's power distribution network and system operators.

From schematic diagrams must be able to produce:

 Block cable diagrams and cable termination connection wiring diagrams.

 Cable marshalling termination wiring diagrams.

 Cable core sheets.

 Cable size selection.

Desirable Experience:

 National Grid 132/275/400kV project experience essential.

 Must be able to work to a high level of accuracy with a 'right first time' attitude.

 Must be able to work as part of a team.

 Qualifications: ONC/HNC or equivalent.

 Persons & BESC preferable but not essential.

 Proficient in the use of AutoCAD software

 Good working knowledge of MS Office packages (Work, Excel)

 Flexible and willingness to accommodating to deliver a variety of tasks with predetermined deadlines

 Well organised, self-motivated, and proactive individual with excellent communication skills.
