This global and industry leading highways and transportation consultancy that have been around for over 100 years are looking for a senior/principal transport planner to join them in their Nottingham office.


As the transport planner you will be joining a team of 20 in the transport planning division.


The ideal candidate will have strong skills in research, report writing and analytics. Importantly you should have specialist knowledge of travel behaviour change and travel demand management projects, including in successfully implementing travel plans across a range of sectors. 


Projects:


They have two significant behaviour change contracts that they are working on in Cornwall and Derbyshire. The transport planner will be involved in researching, designing, delivering and evaluating behaviour change interventions, campaigns and programmes from one off travel planning assignments for clients in the private and public sector to larger scale marketing, communication and engagement projects all over the UK.


 


The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:


 


-          A sound understanding of behaviour change theory and an appreciation of the factors influencing mode choice.


-          Demonstrable experience of managing projects for transport authorities or private sector clients in the UK.


-          A deep understanding of transport policy and current issues and creative approaches to dealing with them.


-          A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals.
