Are you passionate about manufacturing excellence, quality assurance, and project delivery? Our client, a leading defense organization, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team. You'll directly contribute to the success of critical defence programmes by validating their external supply chain for full-rate production readiness.
What You'll Do:
- Own a portfolio of key suppliers, managing relationships and driving their adherence to quality standards
- Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate supplier capabilities to meet project requirements
- Utilise tools like Process FMEAs, MSAs, Process Mapping, MRLs, and Production Readiness Reviews to ensure suppliers are ready for production
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to supply chain and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality
- A manufacturing engineering background with a keen understanding of processes and techniques
- Experience with manufacturing or supplier quality, ideally within the defence or aerospace industries
- Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing capability transfers
- Proficiency in Industrial Validation tools: Process FMEAs, MSA, Process Mapping, MRLs, Production Readiness Reviews
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to drive root cause analysis and implement improvement plans
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders
