MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Operator to join an Energy from Waste site near Dudley.

Our client is a leading business within the Power Generation sector, looking for a Shift Operator to join their team.

As the Shift Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out daily plant checks and inspections
• Working in the control room to carry out day to day operations of the plant  
• Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure full plant efficiency
• Ensuring all shift handovers and requests are dealt with correctly
• Stock control when necessary
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Previous operations experience in a power generation business (EFW, Biomass, Anaerobic Digestion, CHP etc.)
• A relevant engineering qualification (NVQ/Apprenticeship) is advantageous but not essential
• An excellent understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
• The ability to work on a shift pattern involving days and nights

The package on offer for this position includes:

• An excellent basic salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
