Junior Engineering Technician

Carbon60 are currently looking for a Junior Engineering Technician to join a client of ours based in Cork. This position is a ongoing temp contract with the potential of going permanent in the future.

In this role you will be supported in learning and developing skills around the installation, service and refurbishment of submersible, End suction, Diesel driven pumps,surface mounted pumping equipment, sewage treatment plants and all associated components, including control systems, valves and pipework."

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Analytically survey of control equipment, both electrical and physical.
  • Isolate, dismantle and inspect pumping equipment, including moving parts and lubricants.
  • Examine and report any defects with regards to the valves and pipework.
  • Carry out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled in a timely manner.
  • Lifting of access covers, pumping equipment and all associated components from ground level to an approximate depth of 10m using the appropriate tools
  • Maintenance of diesel engines

Requirements:

  • Full Driving Licence

This position will be perfect for someone who has a passion for Engineering. You will be working Monday - Friday standard days. You will be provided with tools and a company van for when you need to travel to a site. Your training will be provided bu Senior Engineering Technicians.
