To support their continued, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leeds.

Your Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll lead the development of mechanical systems and machinery from initial concept through to full-scale production.  Your work will directly contribute to the company’s legacy of engineering excellence and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Design and model mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD software.
• Ensure design precision and compliance with GD&T standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with overall system requirements.
• Engage in R&D initiatives, contributing to new product development and improvements.
• Perform detailed calculations and FEA to validate design performance.
• Manage design documentation and support manufacturing processes.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience in mechanical design within a bespoke or industrial machinery context.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor). 
• Analytical thinking with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and enthusiastic mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
